Fishing

In most cases, a New York State Fishing License is required on the water trail. There are also statewide fishing seasons and catch limits for some species.

Boating

NOTE: In Pennsylvania, all boats (including paddle craft like canoes and kayaks, require state registration. If you plan to travel into the Keystone State, be aware of the regulations.

To prevent the spread of invasive species, New York State law requires boaters to clean, dry and disinfect boats, trailers and other equipment after use.
